About Pueblo Stucco Repair

Pueblo Stucco Repair is an independently operated local service that connects Pueblo-area homeowners with licensed, insured Colorado stucco contractors for one trade only: fixing stucco. Cracks, patches, hail and freeze damage, elastomeric coatings, recoats, and full restucco. Not painting, not roofing, not “exterior remodeling.” Stucco.

Why a stucco-only service in Pueblo

Because this climate breaks stucco in a specific way, and general handymen do not read it. Pueblo runs about 165 nights a year at or below freezing with a 32.5 degree average daily swing, then hands the wall over to a hail season that stretches from mid-April to mid-September. A crack here is rarely just a crack. It is usually the visible end of a freeze-thaw cycle, a hail impact, or a foundation moving on smectitic clay. Reading which one you have is the job, and the repair follows from the diagnosis, not the other way around.

That is also why we publish pricing. Most stucco outfits in southern Colorado make you book a walk-through to hear a number. Our ranges are on the pricing page and repeated on every service page: crack repair $200 to $800, patching $500 to $2,000, elastomeric coating $1.50 to $3.50 per square foot, full restucco $6 to $9 per square foot. If a bid you get elsewhere sits far outside those ranges, you will at least know to ask why.

How the process works

Send photos. A wide shot of the affected elevation, a close-up of the worst spot with a coin or tape for scale, and a photo of anything that might be causing it: the downspout above the stain, the sprinkler by the soft spot, the grade at the wall base.
Get a diagnosis and a number. Usually the same day. You hear which system your wall is (three-coat, one-coat, or EIFS), what the damage actually is, and which of the published ranges it lands in.
The crew comes once, scheduled. With the right materials for your system. Proper cement work takes at least two visits with cure time between coats, and you are told that up front.
Color is judged dry, in daylight. Cement finishes shift as they cure. Nobody signs off on a match while the wall is still damp.

What we will tell you that others will not

A patch on a 25-year-old sun-faded wall will never be truly invisible. The honest options are an accepted blend, a fog coat of the whole elevation, or a recoat. See color and texture matching.
A crack that keeps returning has a moving cause. Filler cannot hold a joint that is still moving, and we say so instead of patching it a third time.
EIFS gets repaired with EIFS components. Cement stucco in an EIFS wall is a defect, not a repair.
Cement stucco should not go on when temperatures are dropping toward freezing. NWS Pueblo puts the mean first fall freeze at October 8, so late-season work gets sequenced honestly against the forecast rather than rushed.
Some cracks can wait. A stable hairline in October is not an emergency, and you will hear that too.

Licensing, stated plainly

Colorado has no state general contractor license. Licensing is local, and in Pueblo it changed on January 1, 2026, when the Pueblo Regional Building Department dissolved into the Southern Colorado Building Department (City of Pueblo and Boone) and the Pueblo County Building Division (unincorporated county, including Pueblo West and Colorado City). Fremont County, Cañon City, and Florence each license contractors separately. Repairs arranged through this site are performed by licensed, insured Colorado stucco contractors holding the license the job’s jurisdiction requires.
